40 Day Food Frenzy

40 Day Food Frenzy

40 Day Food Frenzy

As we all know, Lent is a time of prayer and almsgiving. It is a time to reflect on how we are living out the call to love God and love our neighbor. Four years ago we held our first “40 Day Food Frenzy” as a way to respond to the needs of our neighborhood. Out of that collection Joseph’s Place was born.  In 2017 alone Joseph’s Place has served over 2,000 families and have provided over 60,000 meals. We couldn’t do it without your generosity. Once again, this Lent, we are inviting you to both pray and give to the work that Joseph’s Place is doing.

Each week we are inviting you to donate certain good and to keep a certain population in prayer.

Prayer IntentionPray for all those who are choosing between paying their heating bill and food.

The program opened in November and ran out of money for the year in mid-January! We have begun to see an increase in Penny Fund requests to keep the heat on in people’s houses.
