It was reported in the January 9 edition of the Democrat and Chronicle that every village and town had a resident who suffered an opioid overdose last year. Countywide, there were at least 395 residents died in the past year. Previously, in an editorial the D&C had commented that “considering the scope of the problem and the misery it has caused, addressing the unrelenting opioid crisis will take every smart strategy, every available resource that communities can muster.”
One step the Cathedral Community has taken is hosting a Narcotics Anonymous Group, now meeting every Saturday at Joseph’s Place, 287 Flower City Park, 3:00 - 4:30pm. For more information call Richard at (585) 802-5314.
