2019 Heritage Festival

Sunday, June 9, 2019 beginning with Mass in the Cathedral at 11:15 am

Heritage Festival a Special Time to Celebrate One Another!

Sacred Heart Cathedral, in cooperation with the other churches in the community are planning a unique event to celebrate the Feast of Pentecost. This event will focus on bringing together people of many cultures and celebrating their traditional clothing, food, music and art. We hope that you will consider joining us for this beautiful expression of our "Unity in Diversity".

Event Details

All are welcome to join us at 11:15 Mass in the Cathedral followed by a brief prayer and procession around the neighborhood in traditional attire, with flags and banners representing the countries of origin in our parish and neighborhood. (Procession route is East on Flower City Park to Lake Avenue then North to Ridgeway Avenue and West back to the Cathedral. Approximately 15-20 minutes.) We will then enter the Cathedral and go to the hall to share multicultural food, music and art.

There is no charge for this event. We encourage the participation of all cultures and their families. If you wish to contribute in any way, please contact the parish office at 585-254-3221. The staff will give your contact information to the appropriate persons.
